Our Purpose: Matthew 28:19. "Go therefore and make disciples . . . teaching them all things I have commanded you."
E.C.M. exists to promote evangelical reform and revival for the Home Life, Church Life, and Public Community Life.
Our Mission: Jude 3. "While making every effort to write to you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith."
E.C.M. believes that each Christian should be mature and able to contend earnestly for the faith by biblical teaching in the essentials of the Christian faith, and by biblically counseling others in the ways of Jesus Christ.
Our Goals: 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete ."
E.C.M will spread truth into homes, the church, and community through literature, teachings, and through godly counsel recognizing that to some it will condemn them, those who are dead spiritually in sin and perishing, and to others it will bless them, those who are alive in Christ and being saved from sin. To some we administer the smell of death, and to some we administer the smell of life (2 Cor. 2:14-16).
Our Concern: Matthew 24:11; Acts 20:29-30; 2 Corinthians 11:13-15. "Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many."
"I know after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock, and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them."
"For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness."
E.C.M. recognizes that false teachers, pastors, and other ministers abound in the modern church, and that it is our duty to expose false teaching and doctrine through laboring in the word to promote the grace, truth, and love of Christ.
